Darjeeling
Darjeeling 1st Flush Tukdah
An exceptional first flush Darjeeling from one of the region's most famous and respected gardens (there are 87 tea estates in Darjeeling in total), this lightly oxidized Tukdah 1st Flush Darjeeling has a lovely nose that combines the typical florality of a first flush Darjeeling with the wooded spice more common on a second flush, making it pleasing to all Darjeeling aficionados.
Beautiful buds and lightly oxidized green-tinged leaves brew to a light copper liquor with a full, round mouth-feel and well-structured tannin. The aromas of the nose bear through in the liquor with notes that taste like the beautiful region of Darjeeling itself: wooded hills, lush florals, and spice.
Darjeeling 1st Flush Thurbo
A new arrival from young plants of the T-78 cultivar, this rich, fruity and slightly zesty Darjeeling is a beautiful example of modern first flush teas from this famous Himalayan terroir. Grown and harvested at 1550m, Darjeeling 1st Flush Thurbo has a clear liquor with the texture of shantung silk. Richly expressive yet balanced, you will note aromas of cedar, jasmine and ginger rounded out by saline and wintergreen in the mouth.
