Intro to Brewing - Tea & Herbal Tisanes
Whether you're a complete tea novice, an intermediate tea drinker looking to switch from tea bags to loose leaf tea, or a tea connoisseur who wants to perfect their brewing technique, this class is the ideal way to learn how to brew tea fit for the Queen.
This class focuses on what the tea world calls Western Brewing Techniques. Here in the US, most of us are familiar with this type of brewing, which typically uses 12 or more ounces of water in a European-style teapot. If you are interested in learning more about traditional teas and traditional brewing techniques, we encourage you to sign up for one of our Intro to Traditional Tea Classes.
In this class, we brew several teas and herbal tisanes of varying production styles in our Dew Teapots. By the end of this class, you will have a better understanding of:
- What tea and herbal tisanes are,
- How to brew tea and herbal tisanes in Western-style teaware, and
- What health benefits may accrue from drinking tea and herbal tisanes.
The class lasts 1.5 - 2 hours.
Class size is limited to 6 and will fill up quickly. We invite you to join us in sharing good tea and community!
