Tea Cocktails
Who doesn't love something bright pink and sparkling on a hot summer day? Featuring our relaxing Tranquilité, these spritzes are the perfect - healthy! - way to unwind and enjoy long summer evenings. Inspired by the lively brilliance of the summer solstice and the sun-like appearance of calendula, these relaxing summer spritz recipes will have you feeling like your only job is beach.
1 oz Aperol
1/2 oz Lemon Aperitif (like Le Moné)
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
3/4 oz Blueberry Blossom Honey Simple Syrup (use a 1:1 ratio of hot water and honey to make the syrup and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks)
Top with sparkling Tranquilité
1. Make your sparkling Tranquilité: About 8 hours before you want to make your spritz, steep 5 grams of Tranquilité in the sparkling water of your choice. Bee sure to steep in the refrigerator! We used a Soda Stream to make the sparkling water and a finum tea filter to bag our tisane, but you can add the flowers directly to whichever sparkling water you prefer, so long as it has a resealable lid! You can also leave the tea to steep overnight in the sparkling water to create your sparkling tea. Herbal tisanes really don't oversteep, so it's ok to just leave the leaves in. If you adapt this recipe to use with another tea, consider straining your leaves in the morning.
2. Combine Aperol, lemon aperitif, lemon juice, honey simple syrup & ice in a glass. (Optional: omit the lemon juice if you prefer a sweeter cocktail with less acid)
3. Top with sparkling Tranquilité and stir. (If you added your leaves and flowers directly to the sparkling water, we recommend pouring over a strainer to catch any stray flowers!)
4. Garnish with an orange wheel.
